ARES/RACES PLAN - Amateur Radio Emergency Service

ARES/RACES CHAIN OF COMMAND LEXINGTON COUNTY SC

 In the event the ARES/RACES Emergency Coordinator is not available to be notified that an Emergency exists by a County government Official or a Red Cross Official, the following chain of command is to be followed:

 The Assistant Emergency Coordinator, AEC, responding to the notification will establish the ARES Emergency Net on 147.XXX MHz as prescribed in the ARES/RACES Operational Net Control Procedures.  The AEC will:

      ·                     Assume total control of the ARES/RACES Operation until relieved.

·                     Activate the Calling Tree

·                     Notify radio station XXXX and request an announcement alerting the ARES/RACES membership to monitor the repeater frequency
